Yanal Khoury, Conductor
Yanal Khoury holds a Masters’s degree in preforming Arts from the Buchman-Mehta school of music in Tel Aviv University under Mrs. Irina Svetlova and Mr. Yi-An Xu. Yanal had conducted orchestras including the Galilee Orchestra, Gyor Philharmonic Orchestra (Hungary), Haifa Symphony orchestra, Buchman-Mehta school of music orchestra, Palestine Youth Orchestra and more. He participated in conducting masterclasses with maestro Zubin Mehta, Ivan Fischer, Lahav Shani and others. Yanal is a member of the Barenboim-Said foundation (FYMO), and as a
violinist he performs regularly with the Galilee Chamber Orchestra and the Palestine Orchestra, performed with the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra and took part in Keshet Eilon spring and winter seminars. Yanal performed in prestigious halls such as the Konzerthaus Berlin, Het Concertgebouw Amsterdam and Musikverein Vienna. Yanal is a winner of the 2nd place in the Caneres international music competition in conducting, a recipient of the Haifa Cultural Foundation awards for outstanding music students, and a recipient of an America-Israel Cultural Foundation scholarship
