Contralto Rona Shrira is a former member of the Israeli Opera's Meitar Opera Studio. Shrira, a student of Prof. Tamar Rachum-Roth, graduated her vocal and musicology studies at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music. In the upcoming season Shrira will perform at the Israeli Opera as La voix de la mère in Les Contes d'Hoffmann by Offenbach, The old gypsy in Aleko by Rachmaninoff, Marie in Theodor, an original opera debut by Jonathan Cnaan, in Dritte Dame Die Zauberflöte by Mozart and more. Shrira performed in various international concerts, competitions and workshops, including being a finalist at the Vincero competition in Italy 2022. Shrira is a fellow of the Ronen Foundation, alongside other awards and scholarships.
