Hila Baggio, soprano, was born in Israel. She was a member of the Israeli Opera's Opera Studio. She performed the title role in The Cunning Little Vixen (Janacek) in Bregen, Gulia in La scala di setta (Rossini) at the Rossini Festival in Pesaro, Gepopo and Venus in Les Grand Macabre (Ligeti) and Musetta in La boheme (Puccini) in Dresden, Oscar in Un ballo in maschera (Verdi) in Angers, Nantes, Renns, Nancy and Luxembourg as well as Pierrot Lunaire (Schoenberg) at the Berlin Chamber Music Festival conducted by Daniel Barenboim. She sang with most Israeli orchestras including the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon LeZion, the Israel Camerata Jerusalem, the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra IBA and others as well as with the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra. She has been awarded many prizes including The Minister of Culture Award, the Rosenblum Award and the Grabov, Basser, Silverman AICF and IVAI scholarships. She won the 2nd prize at the International Hans Gabor Belvedere Competition (Operetta) in Vienna.
