In October of 1927, Bezalel founder Boris Schatz was invited to take part in creating artworks for the YMCA building, the construction of which began the previous year. Ze\u2019ev Raban was chosen to oversee the sculpture, wood, and copper works \u2013 some created by himself and others by Bezalel students and artists such as Meir Gur-Arie, Batia Lishansky, and Shmuel Melnik.<\/span><\/p><p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The works in the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pantograph<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> exhibition were created by artists who are teachers or graduates of the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem.
