Musician Nizar Elkhater was born and raised in Lod. His path as a composer began as a 12 -year -old student at the Stricker Conservatory in Tel Aviv, where he studied piano with the late Malka Mevorach and composition with Ronen Shapiro. In Israel. At the age of 16, he wrote his first piano and orchestra concerto and performed it together with the Stricker's Youth Orchestra around the country. Studied for a bachelor's and master's degree at the Academy of Music in Jerusalem. Elkhater founded the Harmonica Association to make music studies accessible to underprivileged populations. Among the Harmonica projects are choirs, ensembles, and orchestras. Between 2018 and 2020 he managed the "Abdaa'" branch of the conservatory near the Jerusalem Academy of Music in Sheikh Jarrah (East Jerusalem) and now teaches at the Ono Academic College and the Academy of Music and Dance in Jerusalem. Between the years 2019 and 2021 he served as coordinator of the national music field in the "Culture for the Periphery" project of the Ministry of Culture.
