Nasif Francis was born in Nazareth and raised at the Polyphony Education Conservatory, with Mr. Nabeel Abboud-Ashkar. At eleven, he became a violinist in the Galilee Chamber Orchestra — the first professional orchestra in Israel composed of both Arab and Jewish musicians — with which he performs to this day. In 2024, Nasif was accepted to the Israeli Philharmonic academy program, which is a 2-year excellence program for outstanding young musicians. In addition, Nasif has led the Buchmann-Mehta Symphony Orchestra as the concertmaster on different occasions. Nasif has performed many concerts in Europe and the US as a soloist, a chamber musician, andas a member of the Galilee Orchestra, with which he has performed at the Konzerthaus in Berlin and Carnegie Hall in New York. Nasif has completed his B.A. Mus. at the Buchman-Mehta School of Music where he studied under Prof. Svetlana Simannovsky. Nasif is a recipient of a scholarship from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation.
