Israeli violinist and composer Yuval Nuri Shem-Tov completed his M. Mus degree in 2023 at the Royal Danish Academy of Music, with Prof. Eszter Haffner. Previously, he studied with Prof. Hagai Shaham at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music and with Dr. Guy Figer. Amongst others, Yuval played in the world debut of High Strung for violin and percussion by Gili Abarbanel in dedication to him. As a soloist, Yuval played with orchestras including Webern Kammerphilharmonie, Alicante University Orchestra, and Orpheus of Nazareth Ensemble. He won prizes in competitions including the Paul Ben-Haim competition (2014), and the Buchmann-Mehta string competitions and chamber music competitions. He received the American-Israeli Cultural Foundation scholarships between years 2013-2019.
