The Israeli Vocal Ensemble, marking over thirty years of musical excellence, stands at the forefront of professional choral activity in Israel. Since its founding by the conductor and music director Yuval Benozer, it has established itself as the leading vocal ensemble in Israel. The ensemble aims to spread vocal music to wide audiences and expose them to a diverse repertoire with high-quality performances, placing emphasis on Israeli compositions and artists. The Ensemble, consisting of professional singers, boasts a broad repertoire spanning different periods and styles—from medieval music to contemporary music and film score recordings. The Ensemble performs with all the Israeli orchestras, participates in numerous international festivals, and has won first prizes in international choral competitions in Malta, Spain and Belgium. In addition to performances under Benozer’s baton, the Ensemble collaborates with top choral conductors from around the world; participates regularly in concert series across the country; and has taken part in international festivals in Israel and Europe. In addition to its annual subscription series in Tel Aviv, Ra’anana and Haifa, the Ensemble runs an annual project called “Made in Israel” premiering performances of Israeli works conducted by young conductors.
